Below are some frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions, please contact one of our centers.

01 - Why should I come to Valley Radiology instead of another facility?

We have been serving the community since 1971 and have locations conveniently located in Poway, and Escondido. You can trust Valley Radiology to perform your exam in a caring manner and in a comfortable setting.

02 - How do I schedule an exam?

You can schedule your exam by calling one of our centers or by sending an email request using our online form.

03 - How late do we stay open?

We are open 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday for most modalities and 9PM Monday through Friday for MRI at our Poway and Escondido locations. Additionally, we may offer Saturday and Sunday appointments for PET and MRI, for your convenience.

04 - How do I find directions?

You can visit our Locations page. We’ve provided easy links for maps to our locations. Additionally, you can always call us for directions.

05 - Are there any special preparations that I must remember before visiting Valley Radiology Consultants for my procedure?

For some exams, there are special dietary and/or medical preparations required. Your referring physician's office should inform you of these requirements, unless you call Valley Radiology Consultants directly to schedule your own appointment. If this is the case, our schedulers will inform you of any special preparations that you need to be aware of. If you have questions about how to prepare for your exam, please call the location of your scheduled appointment.

06 - How long will my procedure take?

Because each patient is different, the length of each procedure varies from patient to patient. However, if you call the location of your scheduled appointment, our schedulers will be happy to give you an approximate duration time for your procedure(s). We’ll make it go quickly.

07 - How will I get the results from my exam?

After your exam is performed, one of our Radiologist’s interprets the images and does a report. After that, your report will be sent via fax, Internet, or mail to your referring physician. At this point, your doctor will contact you and inform you of the results.

08- Which insurance plans do we accept?

Valley Radiology Consultants is contracted with most insurance plans, including many PPO providers. For more information, please contact our offices.

09 - Who do I contact if I have a question about billing?
